As a criminal defense lawyer he practices throughout Florida in both State and Federal Courts (Northern and Middle District), and in Georgia in Federal Court.
Attorney Edwards graduated from the University of Florida (Bachelor of Science with Honors, 1983), and from the University of Florida College of Law (Juris Doctor, 1986). He also obtained his Master of Arts in Sociology with Honors from the University of Florida in 1986.
Thomas L. Edwards is a former President of the Federal Bar Association for the Northern District of Florida, a former Member of the Board of Directors of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, a former President of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers for the Eighth Judicial Circuit chapter. He is an active member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association Criminal Law Section, the Federal Bar Association, and the James C. Adkins Jr. American Inn of Court.
