An event to educate voters about merit retention and the process by which judges in Florida are selected.
This public forum will examine the process of merit selection and retention, which has been used for appointees to the Florida Supreme Court since 1976. Panelists will include sitting Florida Supreme Court Justices Barbara J. Pariente, R. Fred Lewis and Peggy A. Quince, each of whom are currently up for a merit retention vote in November.
The North Florida Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, in partnership with former Justice Ben Overton, invites you to join us for this important discussion on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 7 PM.
